2022 Le Vendangeur Masque Bourgogne Blanc

Alice and Olivier De Moor's 2022 "Le Vendangeur Masque" Bourgogne Blanc is a rather cracking white wine from Burgundy, France. It's part of their négociant project, where they source organically farmed Chardonnay grapes from a small, rented plot in Auxerre, which they tend to themselves. The winemaking is reassuringly hands-off, with a gentle press, spontaneous fermentation, and ageing on its lees in old oak barrels. Naturally, it's bottled without any fining, filtration, or added sulphites. It is certified vegan.

Aroma & Palate | A rather crisp and zesty number, with notes of lemon, a hint of hazelnut and honeysuckle, and a stony minerality. It's a full-bodied and rich wine, but with a cracking acidity and a lovely, lingering salty finish.
