Douglas Laing's Big Peat is a feisty Ileach character with a sweet side. A marriage of Single Cask Single Malts only from Islay, including those distilled at Ardbeg, CaolIla, Bowmore and (even the elusive)PortEllen.

Bottled at 46% ABV

Proudly without colouring or chill-filtration

A rather punchy 40ppm

Produced in Small Batches

Nose: Opens fresh, salty and clean, developing to sweet Malt dried over peat.

Palate: Ashes, sweet tar, beaches and smoking chimneys.

Finish: Long and lingering finish that replicates the palate with sea salt, smoke, bonfire ashes and a phenolic quality.
