2023 Les Valseuses "Sanza nocturne"

This is a deeply expressive red wine from Les Valseuses, crafted from $100\%$ Grenache Noir grapes sourced from Luberon (Provence). Although the grapes hail from the South of France, the wine is vinified and bottled in the Jura region under the Vin de France designation. The whole clusters undergo a remarkable three-month maceration in concrete vats, followed by two years of aging in large format old oak barrels. This long, slow process builds a dense palate structure while retaining freshness. Bottled with a philosophy of minimal intervention and no added sulfites, this is a complex, medium-bodied red that truly captures the spicy, fruit-forward essence of Grenache.   

Aroma & Palate | A dense, medium-bodied red with striking concentration. The deep garnet colour is matched by a nose revealing black currant, black plum, and spice with subtle earthy notes. On the palate, the dense fruit concentration meets fresh acidity (balancing the 13% alcohol), with touches of cassis and black pepper. The finish shows persistence with spicy undertones characteristic of Provençal Grenache.
